1. Publishing: you submit your completed, formated, ready-to-print WORD document already converted into a PDF
according to our specifications. We print it as submitted. The author is provided with a proof copy and can make one
proofing corrections edition and re-submit to us for a second proof. If the second proof is not acceptable to the author,
there is a charge for subsequent proof copies. Then, a final copy of the finished book is provided to the author. $300.00
2. Formatting: you submit your completed WORD document for publishing. We format the WORD document to meet our
publishing specifications. (This includes setting margins, page set-up, gutter, alignment, page format, page and section
breaks,
page numbering, etc.) $100.00. Please note that if after reviewing your manuscript, we determine that an extraordinary
amount of formatting is required, we may need to charge additional fees, however, that fee quoted is for most works. We
will always touch base with you to discuss costs prior to accepting your order.
3. Proof Copy: Two proof copies are provided with the original publishing process at no charge. If additional proofs are
requested, there is a charge of $40 for each additional proof. After publishing, you will be provided with one proof copy to
make any changes you deem needed. You will resubmit the changes to us and provided with a second proof copy to review.
Additional proof copies can be provided at the charges listed above.
4. Front Cover Design: We design your book cover. You may submit your ideas for consideration, or submit artwork to
be used on the front cover, or allow us to provide you with some ideas and suggestions. We will offer several options for
your choice of cover design. $50-300.00 (This fee is dependent upon your cover specifications. We will provide a more
concrete quote after discussing your cover with you.)
5. Back Cover Design: We design your back cover. This will include a description of your book (you write the
description) and one small picture (either an author photograph or other photo/illustration/or artwork which you submit
to us according to our size and pixel specifications. $25.00.
6. PDF Services: Converting your document into a PDF for publishing. $30.
7. Editing Services: At the present, we do not offer editing services. We can, however, refer you to several resources
where you may be able to privately obtain editing services. Here at Coastal Books, we print as you submit with the exception
of formatting, page numbers, indexes, and such.
7. Sample Press Release Construction: We prepare a sample press release for your book...you provide us with your
book description and author bio information. We provide a sample press release for your unlimited use. $25.00
8. Kindle Services: We will take your completed book and your book description and submit it to Kindle. You reap the
royalties. $50.00
9. Book Orders: After successfully publishing your book, you may order from 1 to 250 copies at a time from us. All book
orders must be prepaid and must be picked up from us within ten days of notification that your order has been received. Costs
per book will depend upon type of book and length of book. You will be advised of the cost prior to ordering.
Costs will vary depending upon the type of book and publishing costs. A full accounting of estimated costs
will be provided upon acceptance of your submission request.
10. Consultation Services: Yes, we will be happy to have a consultation with you and answer any questions you may have
about publishing. Costs: $60. per hour. $35. per half hour. Topics may include marketing ideas, publishing processes available,
how to sell your book, getting your book into book stores, etc.
